Description:Barking Pumpkin Records was a record label created by Frank Zappa in 1981 after leaving Mercury Records, because they wouldn't release his single "I Donít Wanna Get Drafted" in 1980. Zappa had joined Mercury Records after filing a law suit against Warner Bros. Records and managed to stay with them for 2 years. Records sold outside of the USA and Canada where distributed by the Music for Nations label. In 1993 distribution was moved to Rhino Records. Gail Zappa sold the Frank Zappa catalog to Rykodisc in 1995
