Description:PTME is a recording label and production company presently committed to providing jazz musicians in the Philadelphia area with an opportunity to recording their music. In the future PTME hopes to have the resources to record different arrangements of other pre-recorded jazz compositions and other genres of music, including gospel. PTME has completed two recording projects, Alfie and Everybody Oughta Have One, in 2003 and 2004, respectively. Both CDs consist of original jazz tunes, most of which had not been recorded previously. All of the tunes on the first CD were written by one author, Alfie Pollitt, whereas, on the second, the compositions were written by three: the bandleader and drummer, Lucky Thompson; the saxophonist, Umar Raheem; and the pianist, Jeff Knoettner. A trio performed Pollitt's pieces on PTME's first CD project and a quintet, called DNA, recorded those on PTME's second one.
