We are a highly respected "early music" label (recording with Emma Kirkby, Dan Laurin, Bach Collegium Japan, London Baroque etc) as well as one of the liveliest contemporary music labels (with composers like Kalevi Aho, Sally Beamish and James MacMillan) and the Scandinavian music label par excellence – the jewel in the crown being our ongoing Complete Edition of the works by Sibelius! Music is about people: composers, musicians and listeners. It has nothing to do with gender, age or nationality. We like to think that BIS reflects this. |
